Denise Stevens


Denise Stevens is the President of MATRIX Public Health Solutions, Inc. MATRIX is a team of experienced public health professionals in United States and Canada. Dr. Stevens has over a decade of experience in strategic planning, resource development and program management and evaluation. Prior to forming MATRIX PHS, she held positions in both academia (Yale University School of Medicine) and the public sector (City of New Haven). Her current work focuses on translational research (i.e. adapting evidence-based practices for communities) involving comprehensive strategies for the prevention of chronic disease. Ms. Stevens currently holds a Lecturer position within the Yale School of Medicine and volunteers on several boards providing services to youth. She received her PhD in chronic disease epidemiology from the Yale University School of Medicine, her master’s degree in neuropsychology from University of Otago (New Zealand), and her undergraduate degree from McMaster University (Canada) in biology and psychology.
