Karen Siegel


Karen Siegel recently graduated from Yale School of Public Health, where she focused on Global Health, particularly the effect of globalization on chronic disease rates worldwide. She wants to prevent and manage chronic diseases (especially diabetes) in both developing and developed countries by working with food and other companies, policymakers, governments and individuals to maximize positive aspects of globalization. Currently, she is working on OxHA's CIH initiative, She is also part of the evaluation team at MATRIX Public Health Solutions, where she is currently helping to develop the various survey instruments and get the projects off the ground. She is also a member of the Novo Nordisk Youth Panel, a group of young people who are working to increase awareness of the social, economic, and humanitarian aspects of diabetes, in conjunction with the Unite for Diabetes campaign.
