'Buy health, eat salt'?!

Salt is being advertised in Peru under the strapline: 'Buy health, eat salt' (Consuma salud: consuma sal)! The strapline is apparently justified because iodised salt prevents goiters, but is extraordinary claim: salt consumption is well above the recommended maximum of 6g a day in many countries, and over-consumption is linked to high blood pressure.
