I am currently a biology major at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR. After graduating in the next year, I plan to enter into either public health or wildlife conservation and rehabilitation.
For the past several years, I have worked with Novo Nordisk as a youth volunteer and as a member of their International Diabetes Youth Panel. One of our charges as a panel is to help raise global support for the Unite For Diabetes campaign - which passed the resolution for a World Diabetes Day in the United Nations. Now, we need to take the language of the resolution and implement positive changes around the world in terms of health care, education and accessibility.
In the near future, I hope to see a global community that can unite in a common goal of a healthy world (including both the land and the people).
